What does it mean to become a member of Universal Spirit Center?

Becoming a member is a deeper commitment

Becoming a member at Universal Spirit Center is different than simply attending the gatherings. All are welcome at the contemplative and celebration gatherings — all the time. There is no pre-requisite to become a member. There are congregants that are active, contributing and participate in the life of the Center without becoming a member.
Becoming a member is a deeper commitment, in that it is asked that you learn the most basic information about our philosophy by completing the certificated course called, Foundations for Spiritual Living. It’s a ten week course (weekday evening from 6:30pm to 9:00pm) that guides you to understanding and implementing Universal spiritual principles that are sure to transform your life.
After having successfully completed the course, a two week Membership Class is offered where one can learn about our particular Center. Meet Rev. Kevin and learn more about him, learn the healthy communication style of our Center, learn more about what it is to be committed to your spiritual path within the context of community. We address things regarding volunteering, conscious giving and connecting at a deeper level. At the end of that course, you will be invited to a casual ceremony on a Sunday morning at 10:30 gathering to declare you have joined and be welcomed by the congregation. A small benefit also to being a member is a 10% discount on certificated classes.
If you have further questions or would like to sign up on the interest list for our next Foundations for Spiritual Living class offered in January.
